This is a special workshop that has an additional activity. Jaime Weiss from the Audubon Society will have a presentation on Sunday May 15th. She will speak about birds,their habitat and lead a walk on the trail. We will identify birds, their habitat and the plants and trees where they can be found. This presentation is part of DBS's Horticulture Week as they build the new Crevice Garden Along the Trail. So bring your camera.

Material list:   Bring pictures of birds ( ipad, old calendars, field guides etc.)
                          magnifying glass
                          feathers you've found
                          watercolors or watercolor pencils
                          watercolor journal or paper
                          01, and 001 black micron pens
                          ruler

Our Location:

The Durango Botanic Gardens are physically located at the Durango Public Library, to the north and east of the library.  The library is located at 1900 E. 3rd Ave., Durango.

There is no admission charge.  Stroll the gardens yourself (there is ample signage in most gardens) or call us at 970-880-4841 to arrange a group tour. See our Information Tab for more.
